The French Finance Association (AFFI) brings together more than 550 finance professionals in research, teaching and practice of financial activities, interested in financial management, financial theory and its applications.

Created on January 18, 1979, the association is governed by a board of directors composed of fourteen academics and practitioners.

Article 2 of the association's statutes specifies that the AFFI has the following objectives:

  • to develop communication and exchanges between its members in order to contribute to ensuring the best progress in science and financial management,

  • to contribute to improving the quality of teaching and practice of financial management,

  • to promote, support and disseminate financial research,

  • to promote the national and international reputation of teachers and researchers in the field of finance,

  • to develop the exchange of knowledge between France and abroad.


Article 5 states that the means of action of the AFFI consist of:

  • conferences, seminars, working groups and in particular the annual conference of its members,

  • actions carried out by the managers and members of the association within the framework of the statutes,

  • publications and bulletins which it adopts as organs of dissemination,

  • financial research support and assistance.

The French Finance Association's (AFFI) main objective is to develop communication and exchanges between its members in order to contribute to ensuring the best progress in science and financial management.
